Story
My name is Adam and this year I will be running my first Great North Run. For those who don’t know me, I am originally from Newcastle and have lived in Hull for the past 10 years. Hull is now my home and also where I met my fiancé, Lois. Lois is a rotational midwife at Hull Royal Infirmary and every day I hear about all of the amazing things which the midwifery team do at Hull Women and Children’s Hospital. The baby loss appeal is something which I really wanted to support and is also my way of showing my appreciation for the brilliant job that Lois, her fellow midwives and the specialist bereavement midwives do on a daily basis.
The WISHH Baby Loss Appeal aims to enhance the bereavement facilities provided within Hull Women and Children’s Hospital.
Through the appeal, funds raised will enable WISHH to:
-Refurbish and soundproof the Bereavement Suite
-Renovate six quiet rooms
-Create a private entrance/exit to the Early Pregnancy Unit - to reduce the number of encounters families have with other expectant parents.
-Enhance the Early Pregnancy Unit
If you can donate no matter how great or small. I appreciate you taking the time to read and hopefully my efforts help me to raise funds towards supporting this appeal as it will make a real difference to families when they need it most.
