This September, my dad, some friends and I will be taking part in the Pedal, Paddle, Peak event for Muscular Dystrophy UK, an amazing charity whose work I admire and is very close to my heart.

Sadly, my little brother Owen was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, a muscle-wasting, condition back in 2008. Whilst this means he may not be able to do all the things the rest of us take for granted it hasn't stopped him from pursuing things in life. He has grown into a confident person who loves to produce music, play darts and all things video games, TV and cinema. I moved back home recently and have enjoyed spending extra time with him (whilst he destroys me at FIFA).

This event will see us cycling 24 miles to Snowdon, which we will then summit (hopefully on a clear day) and then descend to paddle 2.5 miles to complete the challenge! This will now be my 3rd event for MDUK and I'm looking forward to pushing myself to make this the best one so far, raising awareness of this condition and (hopefully) reaching my fundraising goal.
