Story

In 2023, The Prince of Wales Hospice invested in a large marquee to enable them to host outdoor events to help raise vital funds. Recently, a group of volunteers brought together by We Are Wakefield (WAW), spent a cold wintry December day voluntering at the hospice to prepare the gardens and erect the marquee for the annual Light Up A Life Christmas event. However, due to the severe weather conditions that week the event was unfortuantley cancelled; the strong winds subsequently left the marquee totally destroyed.

This appeal is to replace the marquee to enable the hospice to arrange more outdoor events throughout 2024 and beyond which will help raise vital funds for the hospice.

Any donation no matter how small will be very much appreciated - we are determined to hit the target
