Story
This September I'll be taking part in the Lake District Triple challenge with a team from work to raise money for Place2Be which is the UK's leading school-based mental health charity, providing support to children, families and school-based staff when they need it most.
One in six children and young people now have a diagnosable mental health issue. That’s five children in every classroom with a condition like depression or anxiety.
The fantastic work undertaken by Place2Be help to ensure that children are provided with the right support to manage and overcome these challenges and get off to the right start in life.
For this challenge I will be, trekking for approximately 5 miles up to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston. This is then followed by a 10 mile mountain bike ride through Grizedale forest before finally arriving at Coniston water for an exhausting 2 mile kayaking route to finish the day (and probably me...!) off.
I would really appreciate any donations you are able to provide which will go a long way to help this fantastic cause.
A huge thanks in advance - wish me luck!
