Story
I am taking part in these amazing challenges for my own battle with mental health.
From being told by my Primary School teacher at an early age I would not be anything in life because I was stupid. To my High School teachers telling me I couldn't achieve my dreams because I wouldn't pass my GCSEs.
My self esteem and confidence in going into the working world was terrible. I then found out I had dyslexia in my late 20s, and that made me understand why I didn't enjoy school and found it difficult.
Then I started working to become the best coach/teacher that I could be to help young people who face similar struggles that I had faced.
Now I help and support children and adults in Greater Manchester through my role with the amazing Manchester United Foundation. All funds raised will support the education and community outreach programmes delivered by the Foundation in areas of high deprivation across Greater Manchester and beyond.
This challenge will support me in inspiring myself and the children of the future that dreams can come true by believing in yourself.
