Story
In February Adam Sharpe was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer after he had difficulty swallowing food. On 11th July Adam passed away after a short battle with this horrible illness at the age of 38. His final days were spent in St Barnabas Hospice where Adam and his family received an exceptional standard of care and support. He was made to feel as comfortable as possible right up until the end.
In celebration and remembrance of Adam's life, we will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge on 7th September. We will aim to climb the tallest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. Those peaks are Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon which have a combined vertical height of nearly 3.5km. We intend to complete the final peak of Snowdon on 8th September which would have marked Adam's 39th birthday.
Taking on the challenge is Sam, Adam, Jon, Will, Steve and Matt. All of whom went on Adam's stag do dubbed "Wiggy's Welsh Wipeout". And this is Wiggy's Welsh Wipeout - the Three Peaks Edition!
If you can, please support us all in this challenge and help raise funds for a worthy cause in St Barnabas Hospice Trust (Lincolnshire).
We know some people have already given very generous donations in Adam's name, and so we don't expect everybody to donate again. Just wish us luck, and we'll be very grateful all the same!
Thank you.
