Story
This May I will be cycling 112 miles in the Fred Whitton challenge, this is regarded as one of the hardest sportive around. I would love to help raise some money for the Great North Air Ambulance whilst doing so as I believe this is a very worthy charity, you never know when you or someone you love may be in need of this fantastic service! The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident whether that is on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to 1,640 call outs last year* alone, via their helicopter and emergency response vehicles, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.
If you could help me raise some much needed funds for this amazing charity I would be more than grateful! Hopefully I manage the 112 mile bike ride and don’t need rescuing myself!!
