My Midlife Crisis Era: Running for a Cause
After running 3 marathons in 3 months (because why not?) in late 2024, I’m taking on my biggest challenge yet: the 2025 Boston Marathon. This iconic race has always been a dream, but I never thought it could be a reality. You either qualify with blazing speed (spoiler: I’m not the Road Runner) or run on behalf of a charity.
That’s why I’m beyond thrilled to join the Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County (CAC) team. The CAC is where healing begins for children who’ve experienced abuse or exploitation. They provide a safe, supportive environment where children and families can focus on rebuilding, free of cost. Their work brings together child protection, law enforcement, medical professionals, and mental health experts under one roof to ensure a compassionate, effective response to abuse.
Boston holds a special place in my heart. From annual family trips growing up to working with the city every day in my career, I’ve always loved the City of Champions. Running its streets for the CAC makes this opportunity all the more meaningful.
My goal is to raise $7,500 to support the CAC’s incredible mission. By donating, you’re helping create a world where every child has the chance to heal and thrive. I’m deeply honored to be part of this journey and grateful for your support.
Let’s do this together—one step, one mile, one child at a time.
