Story
Hi my name is Ada, and I am 11 years old. I was looking for ways to raise money for charity and I found out about the Little Princess Trust. The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.
The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
Right now, my hair is really long, right down to my waist and I have decided I am going to a sponsored haircut and cut 12 inches off to donate to the Little Princess Trust. We have teamed up with Daniel Granger from Daniel Granger Hairdressing and E4's Body Fixers who also works as a Schwarzkopf Educator and Charity Ambassador. We have planned a special assembly at my school to fundraise and talk about wigs and what the charity does. I will then get my hair cut infront of the whole school! I am nervous about it but excited at the same time, because I know it is going to a good cause.
In addition to donating my hair I would also like to raise £1000. £700 pays for the making of a real hair wig for a child and £1000 pound can help buy new drugs for research. I would be so proud if I can donate my hair and raise enough money to make a wig with it too! Along with the sponsored haircut, to help further with fundraising I have also organised Funky Hair Friday at school where children can come in with fun and crazy hair styles and make a donation.
The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year. I would love it if you could sponsor me, every donation will help me towards my goal and help children through the Little Princess Trust!
Thank you so much!
Ada
