Story
Let's talk about disgust!
My mum, Professor Val Curtis, was a public health whiz, a genius communicator and loved nothing more than bringing up the topic of POO at dinner! Sadly, she passed away from cancer 3 years ago, aged just 62. But anyone who knew her wouldn't be surprised to realise that simply dying wasn't enough to stop her from continuing her important work! Her Marching Orders were very clear- the battle to improve global Public Health needs all our efforts.

My personal ambition to continue Mum's legacy has been to keep raising money for the Val Curtis Memorial Fund. The Fund is to enable future generations of students to access world class public health education at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Hopefully it will become a regular source of financial aid to students in need of support, particularly those from the developing world, to enable them to survive and thrive far from home and family.
Mum spent her best years at LSHTM working to improve global public health outcomes. Year by year, your generosity will add recruits to a mini-battalion of public health warriors, who will spread out across the world, to continue her life-saving mission.
Bonus Pledge!
