Story

So...don't tell my hip surgeon who will be performing my second hip replacement in a month's time... BUT... I will be sleeping out in Pier Road car park to raise awareness about homelessness in Jersey and to support local charity Sanctuary Trust!

Sanctuary Trust was established in 2011 to provide accommodation to men in crisis. Since the opening in 2011, the charity has expanded, and we now offer accommodation to up to 30 men across three properties. The original founders, a group of committed Christians and concerned parishioners in St. Brelade, were troubled by the lack of anywhere in the island that could be identified as a sanctuary for men facing major crises in their lives. The founders wanted to help those whose problems were more than just homelessness, and this remains true today. We rely solely on grants, donations from donors and the public.

Just £7 could help fund for one resident to register with a local doctor.

£40 would feed one resident for one month at our entry house, Sanctuary Lodge.

At a time when everybody is feeling the pinch, even the smallest donation makes a huge difference to charities like Sanctuary Trust.
