Story
I’ve been chosen to join #TeamBliss in the London Marathon 2025! Still feels unreal! I chose to apply for this charity due to what it means to us as a family. As most know, we have tried to raise money for Bliss every year since our eldest son was born 5 weeks early 8 years ago. Since he was born I have also worked with and supported many other people directly impacted by a neonatal journey as a neonatal nurse, so this is also for those very special little ones and families close to my heart who I have had the privilege to care for.
There are countless research papers that have been supported by Bliss to try find reasons why these little loves come early or sick and how we can improve their overall care and life outcomes. I am so excited about this journey and hope you will follow me all the way to April 27th 2025!!!
I would love and appreciate anything you can spare - we worked out that if 100 donated £25 (just £2.50 a month between now and next April!) then we can smash the target. I would love to hit half way on our boys very special birthday!! Keep a look out for my updates regarding fundraising events.
The rate of babies born premature or sick in the UK is rising with 1 in every 7 babies needing neonatal care.
Bliss is continuing the fight to improve outcomes and quality of life for these babies - but we need your help to do that.
