In July, I finally got the chance to take Abe to the speedway in Sheffield. He loved it and, while there, he bought himself a pin badge of Tigers legend Ricky Ashworth. When I posted a picture of him with his badge on Facebook, Ricky reached out to me and sent Abe a hat.

Abe wanted to do something to thank Ricky for his kindness and generosity, so he plans to cycle from Meadowhall to Chapeltown and back along the Blackburn Valley Trail (what I call the Greenway) with me and his dad. The distance is just under 11 miles, the same distance from our house to Owlerton Stadium and back.

If you could spare a pound or two to help Abe raise money for this worthy cause, we'd be eternally grateful.
