Story
I am one of nine local businesspeople who have been put behind bars for Maggie's. I've been found guilty of loving my dog too much! Letting him lick the plates, be on our website, mooch food from all my colleagues and generally do whatever he wants! I've been sent down with bail set at £5000.
Having traded in my freedom for Maggie's, With only my phone, laptop and my powers of persuasion, the challenge I face is to call on the collective goodwill of my network to raise funds for Maggie's Highlands. My freedom & reputation depend on it!
"The work that Maggie’s do in the Highlands is so invaluable to our community. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting the Centre at Raigmore by invitation and have found the work the team do and the compassion with which they deliver their services to be very compelling. I was delighted with the opportunity to take part in such an innovative fundraising idea. Well done to the team for putting it all together!"
Maggie's Highlands has approached local business leaders and entrepreneurs and ask if they would be prepared to be locked up for Maggie's. To their delight they agreed, and here we are today. All of the courageous jail birds have been charged with outrageous fictitious crimes and are now in cuffs and behind bars.
Jail or bail is sure to be fun for everyone involved, but let's not forget the important reason behind the event: to raise funds to support people with cancer.
Thank you
