Story
Support Team KnightArk as they tackle the Blenheim Triathlon.
You'll be helping to raise funds for sporting equipment for Ark Franklin Primary Academy.
How we got here:
----------------------------
Abbie set her sights on conquering the Blenheim Triathlon to welcome the dawn of the New Year.
She saw it as a daunting test of endurance requiring discipline, stamina, and a decent amount of training, motivating her to get fit.
After hearing about the Kensal Tri team - a force of good raising money for local charities while pushing their fitness limits - she joined the largest group ever to compete at Blenheim (more than 140 people, primarily local parents).
Driven to get super fit, Abbie dedicated hours to training for the triathlon. She proudly completed 20 Barry's classes in just over three weeks (for those who know about Barry's, you'll understand it was gruelling).
This led to an unexpected hurdle - a groin strain injury (from overtraining, nothing more sinister 😜). This scuppered her plans, and like the Knight in shining armour he truly is, Aaron selflessly stepped up to create a relay team, ensuring Abbie's journey could continue.
How can you help?
----------------------------
We're supporting our children's school, Ark Franklin Primary Academy. Our participation in the triathlon will help raise the profile of sports and fitness at the school. All funds raised will also allow us to invest in coaching, equipment, and sports kit for our teams.
Here's how you can get involved:
1.Sponsor Team KnightArk: Regardless of size, your contribution will go a long way in supporting Ark Franklin. Every penny counts and brings us closer to creating a solid sporting culture at the school. You'll also become an integral part of our fitness journey - your sponsorship will motivate us and help Abbie to feel like all that training (and subsequent injury) was worth it!
2. Spread the word: Share our story and the cause we're championing with your friends, family, and social media networks. Please help us raise awareness of the Kensal Tri team and raise money for Ark Franklin.
Many thanks from both of us (and Ark Franklin) x
