Story
I'm taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
I am doing this to support one of my best friends, Harry Collins. Harry was recently diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer, and is currently under the care of The Royal Marsden Hospital, undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Harry is an amazing person, friend, and boyfriend to my sister, so taking part in this half marathon is the least I can do to raise both awareness, and money for the hospital that saved his life whilst in ICU, and providing his current treatment.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. They ensure nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.
From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, they will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
Thanks,
Aaron
