Story
In July 2026, on the first anniversary of our dad's passing, we will be walking Hadrian's Wall in his memory and raising money for the Anthony Walker Foundation.
Our father, Peter Currie, dedicated his life to public service and policing. During a distinguished career with Merseyside Police, he served as Senior Investigating Officer in the murder investigation of Anthony Walker, a case that shocked the nation and became a defining moment in the fight against hate crime. In recognition of his contribution to policing, he was later awarded the Queen's Police Medal (QPM).
In 2025, we lost our dad. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor. His loss has left a huge void in our lives, but his values of fairness, compassion and standing up for others continue to guide us every day.
To honour our dad's memory, we have chosen to support a cause that meant so much to him. We will be walking the length of Hadrian's Wall and hope to raise as much money as possible for the Anthony Walker Foundation.
Last year, Sam had the privilege of collecting an award on our father's behalf at the 20th anniversary commemoration of Anthony Walker's tragic murder. It was a powerful reminder of the incredible work carried out by the Anthony Walker Foundation in promoting equality, celebrating diversity and tackling hate crime.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help the Foundation continue its vital work supporting communities, educating future generations and creating a society free from hate.
Thank you for your support.
