Story
Every week in the UK, at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people tragically lose their lives to undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
Our own experience of a sudden collapse led to the discovery of an unexpected cardiac condition for Chloe, highlighting the importance of proactive screening. We consider ourselves fortunate as we now know and she is receiving support and treatment, but many others may not be as lucky.
With your generous support for the '12 a Week Challenge 2024', I aim to raise awareness and funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). By participating in a personal walk covering 12 miles in a week, I hope to contribute to CRY's efforts in reducing the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) through improved screening facilities and promoting cardiac health among the youth. Your donation will directly impact this cause, potentially saving young lives from these fatal conditions. Join us on this journey to make a difference and support CRY's mission. Together, we can create a safer future for our young people.
