THE CHALLENGE
To be the first to complete JOGLE unsupported. I am aiming to complete in 18-21 days.
NO ONE HAS COMPLETED THIS CATEGORY
I would be setting the bench mark and have no time to chase.
Many people have run/walked this famous route as it is the most prestigious walk in the UK. There are many different routes but they range from 830-900 miles from end to end.
WHAT IS UNSUPPORTED
So no aid from others in person, take all food and equipment from the beginning to the end and collect water from natural resources like rivers and streams. Wild camp the whole way down.
You are not allowed any help from anyone in person, no one can run with you, your not allowed in shops and cannot sleep in hotels, hostels or B&B's.
From the start to finish you are alone on your own resources you have provided yourself.
This is the toughest category you can take on in any event.
I have tried this twice before in the last 2 years.
I also plan a test run of running from Portsmouth to Walsall at the end of May which I will use a tracker so everything can watch and come along on the journey with me. This will be a real world test of everything before the big day so all dramas can be ironed out. It will be 144miles in 3 days if all goes to plan.
I will put updates, photos and videos through out the training, planning and preparation process and try to be as open as I can. I have linked my Strava so you can check up on my running and push me to do more.
Trying to show the little problems I have to work through that make a difference when I'm on my own. The high's and the low's.
So far i have got the records for Portsmouth to bescott unsupported in 3 days 15 minutes and I also have the record for the north coast of Fuerteventura.
