Story
Merry Christmas to all!
We are the family of 81 Colonels Lane, it's that time of the year again where we raise money for charities close to our hearts!
Our Christmas light display is a heartfelt tradition that means a lot to us. 22 years ago, we lost our Son and Brother, Jack. Born just 4 weeks early, Jack was born critically ill and spent all his time on this world in an incubator in the Neonatal Unit at St George's Hospital, and sadly passed 6 days later. Though his time was short on this world, Jack left an everlasting mark on all our hearts. Our lights shine brightly and light up the sky each year in his memory, with the switch on being held on his birthday. These lights are for Jack and for all the other precious babies who now shine brightly in the sky.
This year, we've chosen to raise funds and support the charity, The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust - a cause very close to our hearts. This incredible charity raises funds to support the Neonatal Unit in Medway Maritime Hospital, providing essential, life-saving equipment for critically ill and premature babies, as well as bereavement support for families. We want to support the local hospitals which are designed and equipped to care for poorly new-born babies.
We hope our little Winter Wonderland brings smiles to everyone who visits, brings people together, spreading joy and warmth throughout the Christmas season!
Our display is lit daily from 8am till 11:30pm, spreading Christmas cheer all the way until January 5th. Stroll through, enjoy the lights, sing, dance and let the magic of the season fill your hearts with hope and joy. Every penny donated goes directly to The Oliver Fisher Trust, making a difference to local families and babies in need.
Thank you for helping us make this season special - for Jack and for so many others. Don't forget to check out our Facebook page for updates and to share your photos with us, link below!
