Story
Hi there,
My name is Amy I am currently nine years old but when I was born I was very small and poorly but the SSNAP helped me get better and they also helped my Mum who was also very poorly.
On Tuesday the 16th of May I will be holding my gold award meeting at Brownies. As a group, we plan to do some sponsored activities outdoors and indoors, to raise money for this wonderful Oxford charity.
There will also be a little Cake sale for the parents (if you want to donate any money to buy a cake).
Thanks for supporting us. Here is some more info on the SSNAP:
SSNAP was founded in 1982 and has supported the Newborn Care Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital ever since. The unit can care for up to 56 babies at any one time and is a Level 3 Centre, the most sick and premature babies from across the Thames Valley, are looked after here in Oxford.
When newborns need specialist, often lifesaving, medical care at birth, it can be a traumatic time for parents. SSNAP are here to support families, fund equipment and enable research, we couldn't do this without the support of people who fundraise for us!
