Story
I am walking 70km in my 70th year to raise money for a cause I care about. I’m also celebrating that the 31st of August is the anniversary of the 45th year since I had a major brain injury, I want to celebrate my survival, by fundraising for those who are also facing crisis, which is why I am supporting STOP THE TRAFFIK.
STOP THE TRAFFIK is working to prevent human trafficking and modern slavery around the world. Their goal is to build resilience in the most vulnerable of communities and disrupt the criminal networks that operate within them.
Given the organised nature of these crimes, they believe that the only way to combat them is through intelligence-led prevention. They are collecting data from around the world and building intelligence. The findings are then shared to generate targeted action, build resilience, and systemically disrupt human trafficking.
