Story

Sylvia Windsor 29.01.1934-15.02.2024🪽

This is our donation page to try and raise as much money as we possibly can for the phenomenal charity ‘Trinity Hospice’ who supported us through Sylvia’s last few weeks back in February, at a time when we were in the complete unknown. Myself, my 5 years old daughter, Paula, Katie and Olivia will all be taking part in the 5 mile neon memory walk on the 12th October to raise as much awareness of the fantastic charity and all the amazing work they do💜

In nans last few weeks we didn’t know who to turn to for help or support and felt like no one understood what we were going through or could help us. Watching her slip away knowing we couldn’t do anything to help and not knowing if she had days, hours or minutes left was torture💔

Then came along some really special people… the trinity hospice nurses.

They came out and sat with us whenever we needed them throughout the night, night after night and they just seemed to know exactly what to say and do to put us all at ease… whether that be just sitting and listening to exactly how we were feeling at the time or holding nans hand and talking to her to keep her calm. The nights were the hardest and the Trinity nurses just made it all a little less overwhelming, they really knew how to support us all in such a horrific time🥹🤍
