Libby is running to raise money for the RVI. And grandma Val is braving the shave and having her hair shaved off! Any donation - big or small - is so appreciated!

Since Annabel's shock diagnosis with High Risk Neuroblastoma in May this year, we've counted our lucky stars every day.
It sounds crazy but we just feel so fortunate that we live near one of the best hospitals in the UK. Luckily for us, Annabel is being cared for at the Great North Children's Hospital at the RVI 💪
You can't find a more determined and dedicated group of professionals, all working so hard to cure kids' cancer.
From the nurses providing care day and night, to the play specialists helping little people navigate their treatment through play, and the oncologists moving hell and high water to control this awful disease.
Before this all kicked off, I signed up to do the Great North Run 5k as a personal challenge in my fitness journey. Now I'd like to use it to raise funds for Annabel's care team too.
Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a natural athlete so this won't be easy. My knees are knackered... much like the rest of me. And anxiety around Annabel's situation has left me with frequent dizziness.
But if she can do what she's doing, I can definitely do this.
And then there's grandma Val. About to celebrate her 80th birthday with a bald head, after braving the shave to support her granddaughter.
So please sponsor us and help us pay back just a tiny fraction of what the RVI and its amazing staff are doing for Annabel and all the other children in their care.

Donations to the Great North Childrens Hospital Foundation support the many children and their families who come to our hospital for treatment and care, making their experience the best it possibly can be.
Innovations that really make a difference to our patients and staff including life changing research, cutting-edge equipment and technology are funded by donations along with initiatives to support the wellbeing and development of our staff.
Evidence shows that children have a quicker recovery when they are in an environment they enjoy and we strive to make GNCH as welcoming and friendly as it can be.
