Story

Hello, my name is Craig and I run a gaming for charity organization called 5daygamers. We started back in 2012. I watched a charity event called All 4 One Cause and it got me inspired to do the same. That was when 5daygamers was born. It wasn't originally named that though, we were called Five Day Gaming Charity Marathon. But yeah, that name is too long, so it was shortened to 5daygamers. With the help of many streamers, we pulled off the first event and raised £162 for Cancer Research Uk.

That same year we then had 5daygamers2, which was much more successful. We raised £350 for Save The Children and had Tealgamemaster sing the EGG SONG.

Of course we had to do another event that year. Sadly 5daygamers3 wasn't as successful, with £101 for Headway the Brain Injury Association. Though the amount wasn't high, raising any amount is a great thing and I'm proud of it.

We then moved on to 2013.

5daygamers4 introduced new streamers and was at Easter time. For the second time, we raised money for Save The Children. This time it was £301.

After a pretty good event, we wanted 5daygamers5 to be special. And it sure was, the theme was Playstation VS Nintendo, with the winning team receiving a 5daygamers themed around it.

We had so many versus streams.

Nightdawnletsplays had a billboard sign in Japan made for us.

We raised £655 for Breast Cancer Campaign.

By the way, Playstation won, so the following year (2014) we had a Playstation exclusive 5daygamers (5daygamers6)

The most memorable moment was Shadowslayer doing screamo during Sly Cooper Thieves In Time stream.

This event was Save The Children yet again and we raised £304.

5daygamers7 took place later that same year. This had no theme but brought back a charity from a past event. We raised £205 for Cancer Research Uk.

We now move our story to 2015. 5daygamers8 took place.

Even though Nintendo lost the versus, we decided to have a Nintendo themed event anyways. We raised £218 for WWF.

That same year had 5daygamers9. Sadly this event has the record for lowest donation amount raised. We raised £96 for Diabetes Uk. The amount wasn't high but we still enjoyed the event and raising any amount helps the cause :)

From one year to the next, we reached 2016. This was a special event. It was our 10th 5daygamers. To celebrate the success, we raised money for Save The Children yet again and had many original streams re done. We raised £261 this time around. This was also 10 days in length.

Due to how long 5dg10 was, we only had one event that year, which was the same for 5daygamers11 in 2017.

This time around we raised £252 for Blue Cross.

This was supposed to have been Evildeadfan102's final 5daygamers in charge. Due to this, Kittykitsune at the time, took control for 5daygamers12.

With Kitty in charge, 5daygamers12 took place in 2018. We raised £204 for RSPCA. Evildeadfan102 (Aka me) was a jerk at the time and wanted 5daygamers back so for how that went (I'm truly sorry) Getting back on track 5daygamers13 took place in 2018 also. We raised £112 for PDSA.

Due to everything that had happened, 5daygamers took over a year's break and returned during 2020. So we had no event in 2019.

2020 was generally a dark time for the world but it was successful for 5daygamers. We made a comeback with the 14th event. We raised £520 for SOS (Silence Of Suicide)

Not only was this the second best donation amount we raised so far but we got Donnabellez to stream for us. This was an incredible comeback.

One year later (2021) we did 5daygamers15. We raised £212 for Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders). For the 2nd time in a row, Donnabellez streamed for us.

The year after (2022) was a dark and horrible year for myself but was a very memorable and important year for 5daygamers. Firstly we had 16 in May. We raised £155 for Four Paws.

Later that same year, we finally beat a record that up until this point (Had not been beaten since 5). 5daygamers17 became the most successful event to date. We raised £864 for WWFUK. This was an amazing milestone for us.

In 2023, we raised £500 for Yuedayss. To help a Vtuber with brain cancer, For the first time we didn't use Justgiving but Gofundme. This was a very proud moment.

And earlier this year, we had 5daygamers19. We raised £400 for Together For Animals. We love helping out animals after all.

Now that you've read the 5daygamers story, it's time for the finale.

5daygamers20 takes place from August 10th to possibly 30th/31st depending on if we reach the goal in time. Due to this been the final event, we're raising money for Save The Children once more. (I'll still be donating to charities once 5daygamers is done though) but reaching 20 is a milestone and a good place to end.

My ultimate dream is to reach the £1000 goal and have the finale as the highest amount we've ever raised. That would be the most perfect ending.

Helping kids is a very wonderful thing and a very worthy cause, so I'm proud to do this one more time for them.

5daygamers20 will have days 1 to 10 unlocked from the start, every £100 we raise unlocks an extra day. To unlock all days, we must reach the £1000 milestone.

We have several prizes, many first time streamers, and even intermission streams (Showing back an old stream from each event) so there is lots instore for the finale.

If you can donate, thank you, any amount will help the cause :)

I hope you all have a great time.
