Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In celebration of the Services 50th Anniversary colleagues across the service have come together in planning this walking challenge. We hope to raise money for The Firefighters Charity who support both the physical and mental wellbeing of both serving and retired Fire Service Personnel.

The Charity relies wholly on donations to be able to provide the 1-1 support that they provide across the UK Fire and Rescue Services

The charity has three residential centres around the country, where they invite beneficiaries to join them to focus on their health and wellbeing. Beneficiaries with psychological health referrals or long-term or chronic physical health issues would be invited to visit Harcombe House in Devon. While beneficiaries who have a predominantly physical health need would be invited to either Marine Court in West Sussex or Jubilee House in Cumbria, which also houses our dedicated Nursing team.

They may also be able to offer a recuperative break for personnel and their loved ones, to allow them to spend some quality time together away from the everyday worries of living with their illness.
