This October, we’re stepping up to support an incredibly important cause close to our hearts: Baby Loss Awareness Week (BLAW). We're proud to announce that our team will be taking part in a 26-mile charity walk around Nottingham on Friday, 11th October, to raise funds for East Midlands baby loss charity, Forever Stars.

About BLAW

BLAW is a national initiative that runs every October, aiming to bring together families, healthcare professionals, and the general public to commemorate the lives of babies lost in pregnancy or shortly after birth. It’s a time to remember those who have been affected, raise awareness of the issues surrounding baby loss, and support charities like Forever Stars who are providing essential services and care. This year BLAW takes place from 9th - 15th October.

Our 26-Mile challenge

The walk, organised by Forever Stars, kicks off at 6:30am at the Harrington Arms in Sawley. From there, we’ll embark on a 26-mile journey that will take us through some of Nottingham's most iconic landmarks, including the tranquil Attenborough Nature Reserve, the historic Trent Bridge, Nottingham Forest, Holme Pierrepont, and the picturesque Beeston Marina. Finishing off at the Boat & Horses in Beeston Rylands.

We’ll be joining approximately 40 other walkers, including several Nottingham-based businesses, all raising money to support families who have experienced the heartbreak of baby loss and to contribute to the vital work Forever Stars does.

Why this matters

Forever Stars is a Nottingham-based charity that was established in 2014 by Richard and Michelle Daniels, following the tragic stillbirth of their daughter, Emily. The charity has since worked tirelessly to support other families in similar situations, offering emotional support, bereavement counseling, and dedicated spaces within hospitals where families can spend precious time with their babies. Their work is truly life-changing, and we are honored to be able to contribute in any way we can.
