4 Students VS 1 Environmental Crisis

Walk on the Wild Side · 1 April 2024 to 14 April 2024 ·
As IB students, we are interested in engaging with UN sustainability goals and our natural environment. Our small group consists of students who study ESS (Environmental Systems and Societies), Anthropology and Biology. As such, we feel as though it is our duty as young members of our society to support the conservation of our natural spaces.
Unfortunately, the UK's wildlife is rapidly depleting, and at a rate we have never seen or experienced before. With over 50% of species in decline and 165 critically endangered, it is our turn to support and resist this change.
There is still time.
At the beginning of April, we (Ethan, Milo, Ronni and Tia) will be joining Wildwood's Walk on the Wild Side 25km hike (which you can follow on Instagram , April 1st and 2nd @4students1environmentalcrisis) in order to raise funds for their conservation work.
Wildwood (https://wildwoodtrust.org/ ) is a native species conservation charity pushing the boundaries of innovative conservation and rewilding. They work with nature to fight the biodiversity crisis, to halt the extinction of species and to create resilient habitats in which nature thrives. They focus on nature-based solutions to return native species and recreate truly wild spaces.
We have the ability to change the world, and our own actions can protect nature and give our wildlife a chance for a future.
By supporting this fundraiser, we can help Wildwood with rewilding and restoring lost species, as well as connect with our natural environment.
We hope this inspires you too.
Love,
Ethan, Milo, Ronni and Tia.
