2 years ago my 17 year old niece Katie took her own life in shocking circumstances leaving behind a young baby. This has had a profound effect on all our family, but my sister in particular. Over the past 2 years she has managed to find some comfort (and practical help from people who have had similar experiences) from The Compassionate Friends Charity. To support the charity, me my 2 sons Tom and Ross and friend Mark are going to play 4 rounds of golf in 4 counties in 1 day.

Thanks to Harleyford GC (Bucks), Huntercombe GC (Oxon), Sherfield Oaks GC (Hants) and Sonning GC (Berks) for their extremely generous support in providing complimentary tee times for the event.

So all that remains is for the 4 of us to get to Harleyford for 4am, walk around 20 miles carrying 15kg of golf clubs and play something like 1300 shots and hopefully finish around 9.30pm
