J.A.K Marketing are taking on the YORKSHIRE 3 PEAKS CHALLENGE for OVAID!!! 🏞️🦧💚
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The route covers a distance of 24 miles with a 5,200ft ascent that we will aim to complete within 12 hours. Staff at J.A.K have bravely put themselves forward for this mighty challenge and welcome your donations for Orangutan Veterinary Aid.

Formed in 2014, Orangutan Veterinary Aid (OVAID) is a zero salary, voluntary run charity dedicated to providing veterinary equipment, medicines and practical veterinary presence and assistance to orangutan rescue groups and centers in Indonesia and Malaysia.
By its actions, the charity works to improve resources for rescued orangutan and to improve welfare.
In a world of increasing knowledge base, the charity actively assists veterinarians working in the field of orangutan conservation through up-skilling, training programs and the OVAID Bronwyn Watson scholarship.
The charity also considers it vital to spread awareness of the negative effects of deforestation for the orangutan, countless other wildlife species and human populations.
- Each year, OVAID provides essential medicines and equipment urgently needed by orangutan vet teams, which they cannot source due to limited budgets or availability.
- The support includes invaluable medicines like pain relief and antibiotics. These efforts help keep the orangutans healthy and comfortable.
- In the last 10 years, they have donated over £400,000 of equipment, medicines and training ranging from simple intravenous drip sets to complete x-ray.
