Fundraising for Breast Cancer Now
Hello! We’re the Everyone Active East Region Commercial Team and we’re raising funds for our company partner charity – Breast Cancer Now – by taking on the National 3-Peaks Challenge.
Breast Cancer Now is a research and support charity. They're dedicated to giving support for today and hope for the future, to everyone affected by breast cancer.
Their vision is that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live, and be supported to live well. But to make that vision a reality, we need to act now.
Please help us raise £5,000 for the charity.
On Thursday 3 April 2025, a team made up from our commercial team, alongside our suppliers from Creative62, N2 and P81, and five of our colleagues from around the East region will be travelling up to Scotland to take on the National 3-Peaks Challenge. We'll start our ascent of Ben Nevis at first light on Friday 4 April. Our goal is to finish the complete round within the mandatory 24-hours.
Starting at around 6am, we will head up Scotland’s highest peak, Ben Nevis – yes, it could be cold, possibly icy and maybe snowy – to hopefully complete the 10 miles’ ascent and descent within five hours.
We’ll then head straight to Scafell Pike, resting as much as possible on the way, to tackle England’s highest peak. The schedule dictates we need to complete this 10 mile section in around four hours.
We’ll then go straight to Wales’ highest peak Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), which is perhaps the most challenging since it will possibly be the coldest summit, plus we’ll be tired. With several route options, our mountain leader guide has suggested ascending the rugged Pyg Track and descending the Llanberis Path. This combined route is around seven miles and should take around four hours.
The challenge is not going to be easy and we’ll be following a series of training sessions along the way. We’ll be undertaking some outdoor first aid training and also following a 12-week plan in the lead up to the event to help prepare us for the conditions. Being the UK it could be wintery, rainy or even hot!
We’ll keep you updated along the way. Please support us if you can. Breast Cancer Now is a life-changing charity.
