Story

3RD SEPTEMBER 2024

3 Peaks, 3 Girls, 3 Bikes

Frances, Chrissie and Minty are cycling to the 3 highest peaks in the UK and climbing them in 4 days to raise money for The Eve Appeal - that's over 700km of cycling and 3000m of climbing by foot!

The Eve Appeal is a charity dedicated to raising awareness of the five gynecological cancers and funding research for better risk prediction, screening, and early diagnosis. They are aiming to expand the testing process in the UK so that more people can become aware of their cancer risk and take preventative measures or spot cancer at the earliest stage possible when it is most treatable.

Last year, Frances was diagnosed with the BRCA2 gene alteration, giving her an 80-90% chance of developing breast cancer, a 10-30% risk of ovarian cancer, and an increased risk of pancreatic cancer. She has also sadly lost family members to these types of cancers. Thanks to the Eve Appeal she has a wealth of information and psychological support available during the screening and testing process and guidance for taking preventative measures.

We'd like to thank you all for your generosity and support!
