30for30 Non Stop DJ Set

30for30 DJ Set · 12 April 2025
Alex Foley began her DJ journey in 2020, during lockdown, inspired by her Nanny, who encouraged her to give it a try. Since then, DJing has become more than just a hobby—it's a form of therapy. Music holds a special place in her heart, helping her calm down and manage her autism. Part of the Saturday Kitchen Rave family started by Graham Meeres also during lockdown he has provided massive support and helped my journey in Djing.
Before becoming a DJ, Alex has been a nursing assistant with the NHS for 10 years. Her experience in the healthcare field has given her a deep appreciation for support systems, particularly in her current role where job coaches like Demi play an important part .Having personally experienced the benefits of job coaches, Alex understands how vital they are, especially for individuals with disabilities who would struggle without them. This is one of the reasons Alex has chosen to fundraise for Team Domenica, where she met Lucy a Job coach for Team Domenica, who immediately understood their mission and passion for ensuring that employees get the right support and obtain their goal of getting into paid employment.
As Alex prepares for her upcoming 30-hour fundraising DJ set, Alex is no stranger to marathon sessions, having previously completed 24 hours for MacMillan, 30 hours for Dogs Trust, and an incredible 42-hour set for Dementia UK. Now, in celebration of turning 30, Alex has decided to take on another 30-hour set, aptly titled "30 for 30.” These marathon sets have raised £9,700.00.
This fundraising event starts on Mid-day on the 12th April until 18.00 on Sunday 13th April with a target fundraising figure of £2,500.00. the set is being steamed from Kelly’s House like my last 30 hour set and she has worked very closely with Team Domenica and is a charity very close to her heart.
