Raising funds for Lung Cancer Research at The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

Story

On 18th October 2023, Charlie was diagnosed with Stage 4, incurable lung cancer. After approximately 4 months only of a lingering cough, a tight chest and sore ribs he was completely blindsided and his world turned upside down. With the help of the amazing Professor Popat at The Royal Marsden, a liquid biopsy identified that Charlie has an extremely rare form of non-small cell lung cancer named ALK Positive. There is currently no cure for this type of cancer and the median life expectancy is under 7 years. At 39 and with a young family, this was, and continues to be, simply agony to hear.

Through this page, every single penny raised will go directly in to Professor Popat's fund for Lung Cancer Research.

13 Oundle School swimmers will be swimming as a relay for 24 hours continuously. Each swimmer will try to swim as far as they can in each 30 minute slots.
