Story
Back for our 5th year with over £5000 already raised, we can’t wait to once again play Overwatch for 24 hours straight to raise awareness and support for the amazing MDS UK Patient Support Group.
Rob and Matt's Dad was diagnosed with MDS in 2015. MDS is a group of malignant blood disorders in which the bone marrow fails to produce healthy blood cells. It is a form of bone marrow cancer and treatments range from medication such as EPO to blood transfusions. In the long term, a stem cell transplant (bone marrow transplant) can offer the chance of curing the disease.
The MDS UK Patient Support Group aim to raise awareness of MDS, offer support and information to patient and families and campaign to increase the quality of life and make treatments available to those affected by MDS.
We’ll be live from 18:00 (BST) on Friday 12th July over on our Twitch Channel. We’ve got a bunch of ideas planned to keep the 24 hours flowing with a few mix up in previous years!
