Story
Here we go again for 2024!
Ben, Luke, Josh and Cormac are taking part in The Race Centre’s (TRC) 24 hour simulator race for BBC Children In Need. This will be our third year taking part in the event under as the ‘24 Hours of Lemons’ team (Luke’s play on the infamous 24 Hours of Le Mans event - he still thinks it’s funny, and so do we). The event is taking place at TRC’s top of the range simulator centre near Southampton. At 3pm on Friday 15th November we will begin racing against 9 other teams, rotating driver stints through the following 24 hours, taking the chequered flag at 3pm on Saturday 16th November. We’ve finished third, we’ve finished second, so this year we’re setting our sights firmly on the win!
TRC and ourselves have covered the cost of the event, so every penny donated will go straight to Children In Need. This year will be the 14th TRC event in support of BBC Children in Need since it started in 2006. To date, it has resulted in the generation of well over £60,000 for the charity.
We’re doing what we love, with a fundraising twist for BBC Children in Need. Together we can support children and young people across the UK to rebuild their lives.
Thank you for your support,
Ben, Luke, Josh and Cormac
