Swimming 21 Miles in the Month of March
The 21st of March (the 3rd month of the year) was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. Every year on March 21st, World Down Syndrome Day is observed to create awareness

Story

I am raising money for Down Syndrome UK and celebrating World Down Syndrome Day.

I plan to swim 21 miles across the month of March. That's the equivalent of 1352 lengths of a pool.

Every pound raised helps make a positive impact on individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

This charity has been a huge help to us over the last 2 years. Finding out about Freddie's diagnosis was an initial shock for us, but I have personally learnt so much since then and seeing how incredible and strong Freddie is has been inspirational. I'm hoping this challenge will help to raise awareness for others as we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day.
