Story
In just over a month, I will be running the Royal Parks Half to raise money for Sarcoma UK and in memory of my sister's partner, and my close friend, Sean.
We lost Sean two years ago to epithelioid sarcoma, a very rare form of cancer that accounts for less than 1% of all soft tissue sarcomas. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest cancers to treat.
Sarcoma UK is a national bone and soft tissue cancer charity that funds vital research, offers support for those affected, and campaigns for better treatment. The money raised here will go towards these goals and contribute to a world where more people can survive this disease.
I only started running this year and am very excited to be taking on this challenge (in the way Sean undoubtedly would too). Sean was an incredible character, always making us smile and laugh, and I am very proud to be able to honour his memory by taking part in this half.
Thank you so much for anything you are able to donate.
