Story
Back in 2017, a team of four eager, possibly slightly barmy, DSP friends, completed the Race The Sun charity challenge. In a little over 11hrs, with half the team recovering from a capsized kayak, and with a few aching muscles to show for it, we proudly raised over £4,000 for Action Medical Research. Now having got the 7-year itch, it’s time for us to do it again, but this time we have an extra team of four enthusiastic participants joining us!
So, on 7th September 2024, our two teams will be setting off, at sunrise to bike, hike and paddle, (hopefully not swim!) around a challenging course in the Lake District, in a race against the sun.
The intensive training has already begun, to ensure we are all in peak physical condition by early September.
We are racing in aid of the children's charity Action Medical Research, and it would be incredible if we could again raise such a fantastic amount of money for this wonderful charity, with your help hopefully we can.
Action Medical Research is the leading UK charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.
