Story

Just a quick bit about myself my name is Billy Green I'm 43 and in 2019 I suffered an Ischemic Stroke which left me with a permanent Brain Injury as a result. Although I show no physical effects of my condition I do suffer with acute fatigue which does require management and does test my limitations on a daily basis. Although I do face challenges related to my condition I try my best to not let it get in the way of me living a normal life, this is mainly thanks to the unwavering support of my wife Tracy and my family and close friends who have shown me great support over that last 5 years.

I have decided to take up this challenge not only to test myself physically and mentally but to also raise awareness of Brain Injury and the hidden effects it has on the life's of those effected.

I am ready to raise some funds by dropping 190 feet to support the work of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland!

I will be abseiling down the iconic Skyview Tower in Smithfield, Dublin on Saturday, April 27th 2024.

19,000 people a year acquire a brain injury around the country with approximately 150,000 people living with one.

Acquired Brian Injury Ireland help rebuild lives after brain injury. Empowering people to live to their full potential. This is only possible through donations and our support.

Acquired Brian Injury Ireland passionately serve and relentlessly advocate to empower and support people impacted by brain injury to rebuild their lives.

What they want is a society where brain injury is understood and all those impacted receive world-class, personalised rehabilitation and support, as and when they need it.

Please donate to my Abseil for Brain Injury and support these brain injury survivors.
