We are the Pie Munchers. There were three of us, Tim, Adam and Mick. We cycled every Sunday morning and always stopped for a snack and a coffee en route, hence our name.

Sadly, on January 13th 2024, Mick took his own life and left many people devastated, ourselves included. It is hard to rationalise and incredibly sad. Mick was the happiest, larger than life character you could ever meet, with a huge smile. We are all shocked and none of us saw it coming: friends, family and work colleagues.

As the remaining two of the trio, we have decided to cycle 100 miles for Mind in Mick's memory. It is the Ford 100 London to Essex Charity bike ride taking place on 26th May. This will be an enormous challenge for us. 25 miles is a long ride at the moment!!

We are determined to do it. Someone is lost to suicide every 90 minutes in the UK. Help us support people with their mental health.
