Bethany and Martha Trekking the Great Wall of China, 19 October 2024
In memory of Louise Gimson
In October 2024 we will attempt to trek for five days along The Great Wall of China, covering 35km all in aid of LOROS Hospice. Please dig deep and support those taking on this tough challenge supporting patients and their families.

Story

LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.

The Doctors, Nurses, Kitchen Staff, Cleaners, Counsellor’s, Treatment Therapists and all Volunteers are incredible people with an even more incredible bedside manner. The quality of care and facilities for patients and their families is unique.

Our fabulous Mum spent her last few months in Loros and she was overwhelmed with how fantastic they were. A home away from home for her and our family.

With the above in mind, we will be trekking The Great Wall of China across the course of 9 days to raise money for this fantastic Charity. We will be trekking for around 8 hours a day up and down the Wall and facing its many challenges.

We will be holding many fundraising events throughout the year prior to the big event and all proceeds will be going to LOROS.

Thankyou for the Support.
