Story
Growing up, I experienced two seizures with about two years between them. I rarely discussed it, as I didn't want to be treated differently. The thought of possibly having a seizure at any moment was a constant source of anxiety for me, and it had a lasting impact on my life.
(Which btw is nothing compared to the average)
Being diagnosed at a young age was an unusual experience, and I kept it mostly to myself. Many people who know me might be surprised to read this, as I rarely shared this part of my life. However, it has always been close to my heart.
"I treasure a newspaper article that holds a special significance for me. It highlights the amazing NHS nurses who provided care during my time in the hospital, and we showed our gratitude by gifting them a Christmas tree during the festive season."
Epilepsy has remained something that I still think about, which is why it's one of my top three charities that I've chosen to support by running a marathon. I have immense respect for anyone dealing with epilepsy on a daily basis, and I'm determined to raise funds for this wonderful cause.
My goal is to contribute to the support and care of individuals affected by epilepsy. I hope my efforts can raise awareness and supporting organisations dedicated to epilepsy, and I'm honoured to be a part of it. Thank you for your support and encouragement.
