To raise money for the baby memorial garden which is being created at Hereford Hospital and also to continue to fund bereavement counselling services at the hospital a group of 9 friends are taking part in the 15 peaks challenge.
This will take place over the weekend of 30 May - 02 June, on whichever day the weather conditions are the best. The challenge means completing 15 peaks - all the 3000ft plus peaks in Snowdonia inside 24 hours.
The team will start at Pen Y Pass and finish East of Foel Fras. Over 13,000ft of ascent in total.
This cause is something close to our hearts having lost Lola in 2018, she was born sleeping on her due date and was the most perfect little lady. The memorial garden is due to be completed in the autumn and will provide a much needed place for parents to go to make precious memories with their babies and for parents to remember ones already lost like our Lola. The money will also help towards continuing costs of counselling services at the hospital for bereaved families.
We will be posting updates and pictures over the course of the 24 hours so you can follow along with their journey.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
