George Henry Northcroft was born on 14th October 2014.

To celebrate his 10th birthday, we are swimming 10km for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.

We are swimming non-stop for the day as a family, whilst on holiday in Spain. So, at least we will have the sun on our backs!

The are a few simple rules:

Georgina, Peter, Henry & Lily will all take part during the day.

Someone will always be swimming until 10km is reached.

If a swimmer needs a break, someone must takeover from them.

The event will be paused, if the outdoor temperature is unsafe - we are in the South of Spain!

Sands supports anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
