We support young people at risk of suicide to stay safe and find hope in times of need

Story

On the 27th August 2024 we lost our close friend Max Turton to suicide, he thought that was the only way.

On the 30th and 31st of May, 6 of us, Wes, Dillon, Ewan, Sonny, Arwinder and Ollie will be cycling to Anfield, home of Max’s beloved Liverpool FC, to raise money for Papyrus (Prevention of young suicide). We will cycle roughly 60 miles on Saturday 30th May, staying overnight in a hotel, we will then cycle roughly 40 miles on Sunday 31st May, aiming to arrive at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Max was a caring,hard-working, funny and most of all a truly loving person. We are doing this bike ride to raise awareness of young suicide and to do our part in preventing as many other young people losing their lives in this way, any donation whatever the amount will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Chris and Kate, Max’s parents, have been supporting the charity Papyrus - Prevention of Young Suicide, to campaign, educate and support this awareness.

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people in the UK, every year over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.

Every £10 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are changing lives, thank you!
