Story
Dad sadly passed away peacefully on 18 December 2019, having battled with leukemia for nearly two years.
Life was even harder for Dad due to significant sight-loss, which started nearly 40 years ago and worsened in his final years. Fortunately during this difficult time he received significant assistance from the Kent Association for the Blind, who provided Dad with support, equipment and audio books.
This helped improve Dad's quality of life, providing increased independence and the ability to undertake tasks otherwise not possible to him.
Dad had previously volunteered at a Blind club for several years and I know this was a matter close to his heart. He asked that any donations at the funeral go to the KAB, who are a fantastic organisation which can provide support to a wide population of visually-impaired people. Dad would be delighted that we can offer them our support in this way.
Many thanks
