Story
Our much-loved husband, brother, and son Neil Astles passed away on 4th April at Liverpool Royal Hospital. Neil died having suffered a reaction to the Covid Vaccine.
Neil was one of the very unlucky few and Neil’s loss is unbearable to us. If there is one small tiny comfort it’s that Neil’s passing is not in vain. We are learning all the time about the vaccine response and this knowledge may help to save lives in the future.
Neil was a solicitor with Warrington Council and was very well respected in his profession, we as a family, are greatly comforted by the letters and messages of support from Neil’s present and past employers.
Neil was married to Carole and they had been very happily married for 30 years and devoted to each other. Neil had a brother, sister, mum, dad, and wider family who loved him very much.
Neil was a considerate and kind man who always put others above himself
Neil was a lifelong Warrington Wolves fan, his Dad took him to his first game at 5 years old, and Neil was hooked. He followed the Wire home and away and made long-term friends through this passion.
Hence the family would like, in Neil’s memory, a donation to the long-term future of the rugby league game in Warrington a traditional rugby league town. We are choosing “just giving” as the collection medium but we will be arranging all donations to go to a new charity by Warrington Wolves.
That charity is...
“Once a wire always a Wire”
This is a legacy charity, part of the Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation, it’s the rugby clubs charitable arm that uses the strength of the Wire brand and power of sport to offer Sport, Health, Education, Disability, and heritage opportunities for all the local community
Thank You
