About Outdoors For You
Outdoors For You was founded in 2018 by people who share a passion for Scotland’s fantastic outdoors and believe that nature and an active lifestyle can help people heal and improve their mental and physical wellbeing. We started as a non-profit organisation, company number SC608815. We were awarded SCIO Charity status SC051780 in June 2022.
Our primary client group are from a minority ethnic background, particularly people seeking asylum and New Scots in Glasgow, which is the biggest dispersal city in Scotland. Often, people who are seeking asylum or have come through the UK Asylum system are marginalised and face many barriers, including destitution, depression, loneliness, and social isolation, as well as language barriers.
