Story
Many thanks to all who have donated to this year's osprey tagging programme, at RSPB Loch Garten. Thanks to the incredible number of donations which have been pouring in from far and wide, we are delighted to report we have now reached the full amount needed to tag two chicks - which, as you may have seen from the osprey blog, we successfully managed to do this past weekend. As EJ swirled protectively overhead, our dedicated on site staff successful ringed all three chicks, fitting satellite tags on the two largest. These tags will now enable us to monitor and protect the chicks, as well as helping us find answers to a number of questions which remain on osprey behaviour.
Through this Just Giving page, we reached almost 70% of the funds we needed for two tags, with additional donations from a number of supporters at the Loch Garten osprey centre taking us up to the total required. We are all incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated to this important programme and look forward to keeping you updated over the coming months with the newly tagged chicks as they make their maiden voyages to Africa and back.
Thank you again, from all of us at RSPB Scotland.
